Learn what it feels like to train like a CHAMPION
Each year the track and field coaching staff of Florida State University host the Seminole Track and Field Camps. The camps are conducted on the beautiful campus of Florida State University in the capitol city of Tallahassee, Florida.
The Seminole Track and Field Camp is a complete track and field camp. The camp is designed to meet the needs of the individual camper. The camp is divided into event areas Sprints, Hurdles, Jumps, Throws, and Pole Vault. Campers can stay in one event area or move from area to area during the four- day camp. Coaches will work one on one with each camper to insure a quality learning experience while at camp.

Sprints: Speed is a vital part of success in every sport. Athletes from many sports football, baseball, softball, soccer, and tennis have attended our camps. During the four -day camp campers will be instructed in; sprint mechanics, sprinting drills, block starts, relay exchanges and acceleration and speed maintenance.
Hurdles: Campers will learn proper hurdling techniques for both the long and the short hurdles. Campers will learn how to alternate lead legs to prevent lost of momentum during the hurdle race. Hurdle drills, video analysis and excellent coaching will better prepare all campers for the next track and field season.
Jumps: Campers will have the opportunity to work with world- class coaches and athletes in the high jump, long and triple jump. The high jump approach will be broken down into simple learnable parts. Each phase of the triple jump will be covered in detail. The long jump will be covered start to landing. Each part of the jump will be broken down by videotape and campers will be able to see and correct faults in their technique.
Throws: The throws will be covered in detail. Not only will campers learn how to throw but also they will learn how to train for the throws. The discus and the shot put will be covered in great depth. Campers will be introduced to both the hammer and the javelin during the four- day camp.
Pole Vault: The pole vault is increasing in popularity every year. However there are few places where one can learn the proper way to perform the event. Qualified coaches will teach the Vault. Each part of the vault will be covered in great detail.
